About US

Martin Taylor set up MLT Directions in 2009 to provide advice to manufacturers, distributors, retailers and investors in the in the UK and around the world. His depth and breadth of experience across sales, marketing, operations and business development enables him to take multiple approaches to building profitable, measurable growth.

In addition to running MLT Directions Martin is currently a non executive director of Pcubed, an international project management consultancy which has large scale clients covering a wide range of industries. He is also senior advisor for the International Car Distribution Programme, an organisation providing research into automotive distribution, retail and after sales issues for its members including major automotive manufacturers.

Martin has lived and worked in the UK, Brunei, Greece and Belgium and travelled extensively across Europe, Russia, Asia, South America and Africa (Ethiopia). He has gained a specific knowledge and extensive experience of developing and growing businesses in emerging markets.

Martin is a member of Automotive Fellowship International and a panel judge with the annual AM Awards for the UK automotive retail sector. He has an MA in economics from Cambridge University and is an FCA having qualified with Price Waterhouse.

Martin was previously with Inchcape plc, a UK quoted international automotive distribution and retail Group, having spent more than 20 years as MD/CEO /Chairman in various country and international roles. In his last position with Inchcape he was CEO Europe, Africa (Ethiopia) and Russia, turning over in excess of £1.8 billion and also a member of the Group Executive Committee which was responsible for the strategic direction and management of the global business.
